How Long 'Til You Fall to the Dark Side?

Justin's seeing Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith today with his crew from work.

I'm seeing it with him tomorrow (Friday) with a friend and compatriot.

There were over 2,000 in line to see the opening showing this morning (12:01 am) at AMC Hueber Oaks in San Antonio -- you and read the antics here: http://www.mysanantonio.com/specials...rs_movie_line/

What about you? Can you resist the temptation to the Dark Side?

More musings are over on my blog.

Re: How Long 'Til You Fall to the Dark Side?

Saw it Thursday morning at midnight! To be honest, this is the first time I've ever made it to a first showing of any movie. Probably wouldn't have this time but a bunch of us from work went together and we were able to get our tickets in advance (and at a discount!).

Had a great time! Expected a lot of Star Wars sillyness with costumes and light sabers. Had some of that but when the movie started, all was silent. Only time you heard a sound from the audience was during the part where Anakin (sp?) came into the room with the children (and I will say no more).

Great movie and it put everything together. Looking forward to the DVD in a few months and Star Wars VII.

Happy Camping!

I have to admit that I didn't feel the force way back when and I'm still not feeling it now. Not much of a sci fi fan.

Cool Re: How Long 'Til You Fall to the Dark Side?

When we walked out of the theater my son said, "I'm glad that's over!" We both felt that the last three movies (parts 1-3) were a letdown but we had to see them because the first three (parts 4-6) were so good. The dialogue, characters, and acting were really weak.

I really enjoyed the spoof on the MTV movie awards (there are two teenagers in my house so I have to watch that crap).

I enjoyed the last installment far more than the previous two prequels. Found it enjoyable and memorable, and have seen it several times with Justin. We're geeks, it's our way. I thought the acting and characters were finally "gelling" by the third (final) prequel, whereas they were cardboard or over-acted in the previous two, in some respects.
