HOT, HOT & MORE HOT!!!
Oh, boy! Looks like we're in for it this year. Just looked at the forcast and it says we're going to hit the century mark Thursday and Friday. I know this is Texas but that's a bit warm a bit early for the North Central section. I'm afraid we're in for another summer like the one in 1980. Those old enough to remember will tell you it was HOT!!!. Oh, well. At least I'm not running production shops any more plus we're getting away for about 2 weeks in July. Rocky Mountain National Park (and other stops), here we come!
Happy Camping!

You dog!! Turn tail and run just when the temp. starts to rise.
No just kidding. We are running off to South Dakota in a few.
Take notes and tell us how Colorado is doing. Have a safe and enjoyable trip.

Will most likely write one of my long reviews when we get back. Looking forward to a great trip and hope you have the same.
Happy Camping!

Re: HOT, HOT & MORE HOT!!!
As they say..
If you don't like the weather in Texas, just wait a minute!!
Seems like these heat waves never last. I remember one June with a string of 100 degree days leading to a July with highs in the 70s.. I think that was in the mid 80s.
And TK, I was a grunt on a roofing crew in the summer of '80! I had a great tan.. (which now is a bad thing) but at the time.. hooboy! I was thin and tan when I went back to school. Hot stuff!!
On that note, I've been doing a good bit of study about skin cancer.. I'll post the information in another post. BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR SKIN!!

You bet! Sun screen is something we keep in the house, trailer and DW has another bottle she keeps in the bag she carries when we take the 'yaks out. Don't need a burn or skin cancer.
Happy Camping!

Great minds think alike. We're going to be there also July 5th - 11th. Probably lodging somewhere in Estes Park. The wife will do some of the shorter day hikes but I'm on my own for the all day treks. The ranger campfire programs in the evening look interesting also.
