Super, thank you! It's sure been dead around here! I think we've all wilted in this Texas heat.

Re: hey

That, and some server downtime last week certainly didn't help matters... and lots of people are busy getting their kids ready for back to school and their first week back.

Re: hey

took a short trip to garner last week. Posted the report as a reply to "Garner?". Other than that, yea, it's been dead around here.

Might do a labor day weekend trip to include abilene sp and s.llano sp. Not sure. WIll need to skip a day of school, how important is first grade? Just kidding. Sometimes you can learn more from life than class. You outdoor folks know what I mean. How many first graders can say they go camping, hiking and fishing, have seen wild turkeys, deer, possums, coons, ducks, alligators, snakes, tarantulas, scorpions, and a fox? Can they make an owl sound? Can they poop in the woods? I thought not! Those are important life skills. At least the pooping skill will come in handy.

Re: hey

Campermom, you are my hero doing all that Texas camping this year. My camping has been limited to my favorite sandbar on the Brazos after the sun gets lower. Stay cool!

Re: hey

And I've often taken the kids on camping or ski trips during school. I figured they would never remember the days of school they missed, but they would remember the camping and ski trips forever.
