Howdy and hello from Plano. I just came across this forum. I really like it. Lots of good advices on camping in Texas.
We have been in Texas now for almost 6 years. Started camping about 5 years ago. We really love the TX State Parks and try to get out there as much as possible. Mainly with our PU trailer. But I am also still using the tent. Got two kids. 6 year old son and 6 month old daughter (already camping proof).

Welcome aboard. I'm new here also but have found that the folks here have a lot of knowledge and advice about our Texas park system. I've been to quite a few of them but keep finding out new places to go and hidden gems that I otherwise would have missed had it not been for the posts on this site. I remember being 6 and camping with the folks. Kids and outdoors just go together.

Welcome to our happy band of campers. Someone on the board has been to wherever you might be wanting to go and can advise you accordingly. Folks range from back packers to 5th wheel types so that should cover all the bases for you.
