Re: Hello!

Welcome Ping Ping!

I think you will find this a very friendly bunch of folks who are all very willing to give you advice about the great outdoors in Texas and beyond.

There's a ton of good info on this site.

Let us know about your interests, and again, welcome!

Re: Hello!

Welcome to Wild Texas! We're thrilled to have you here. You've arrived at just the right time--prime camping and outdoor recreation season is upon us, and things are only getting better (little late season cool front coming, but so many beautiful days lately it's been hard to get any work done due to daydreaming about being out and enjoying the weather!)

Re: Hello!

Welcome, Ping. Give the Sam Houston National Forest a try on one of your hi#ing trips. The Lone Star Trail meaders for 125 miles including loops through the mixed pine, hardwood forest. It's very quiet and peaceful......a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the BIG CITY.

Re: Hello!

Thanks for the welcome everybody! That Sam Houston National forest sounds like a great idea. I love any place that has lots of trees.
