Guess What?
WildTexas.com's owners, Justin and I, are having a baby!
I just had to share. It's our first (and only) child. We celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary and 17th year as a couple in December... so, yeah, 'bout time!

Great news on an exciting change in your life. Cherish every moment because all too soon they are grown. Everytime I drive past the local elementary school i catch myself looking for my son in the play yard. The fact that he is now 25 and has long since moved on never seems to occur to me...I must be loosing it.

Congrats! Guess we all know what ya'll have been doing since it hasn't been camping . Kids sure change your life, I can't imagine life without. He even asked me today to make him a sister! :eek:

April 1, 2007 is our estimated due date.
Only one just because one is just right for us. No other reason. And our kiddo won't be lonely -- there are sooo many nieces and nephews in town that it'll be like our sprout has sisters/brothers, anyway. (Ours will be the fifth grandbaby on my husband's side, and the first on my family's side.)

Congratulations! I am so thrilled for you. There is nothing as wonderful as rediscovering the world through the eyes of a child. Others have already said it, but enjoy every moment because it goes by so fast. My baby girl turned 28 last week....I still can't believe it.

Justin and I just wanted to share a short audio file we recorded this
evening using a rented fetal doppler unit to record our baby's
heartbeat. We first heard the heartbeat at the doctor's office last
Thursday, but we wanted to share it with family and friends and this rental
unit lets us create recordings easily.

Hehe... It's only $32 a month and we're only renting it one month. (It looks like a Playschool tape recorder with microphone -- not quite like Tom Cruise renting a sonogram machine!)
Point taken, though. I'll cut back on my sharing here. Anyone who's interested knows where to find the sappy baby stuff now (GeekHabitat.com).
