Talking And Baby Makes Three

I don't have much time (or cognitive function) to post an insightful, philosophical entry, so here's my "Just the facts, ma'am" edition for starters:

Sara Elise Moore
Born March 15, 2007 at 12:51 PM Central Time (via C-section)
6 lb. 6.5 oz. & 18.5 inches

Here are a few photos (via Flickr.com)

Sara is doing terrific, and she and I are in the hospital still until Sunday. I did not sleep more than one total hour the entire night prior to my 37 week OB checkup, and I was swollen and feeling awful so Justin had sympathy and took me to the appointment. At the appointment, the first sign was my high blood pressure and still-increasing swelling -- hello, pre-eclampsia.

Will post more later. Keep checking the Flickr feed as Justin's periodically adding them to my feed.

CONGRATS!!!!!

My son had to be delivered at 29 weeks due to pre-eclampsia. He was 2lbs 3oz, but is now gorgeous and perfect (although still a little small  )

As others have said, cherish every moment! Best wishes to you and your family!!!

Re: And Baby Makes Three

Thank you for all the welcomes, well-wishes and sage advice. She is the most beautiful thing and she is being SO good to us. I suspect she knows just how clueless her ol' folks are, and is taking pity on us with a slow but gradual introduction to all things Sara.

We couldn't be more blessed, or happy. We're all doing well, and we've been home since Sunday afternoon.

Thumbs up Re: And Baby Makes Three

She's beautiful! Congratulations!!
Never feel guilty to sleep when she sleeps, no matter the hour, you'll need it in the months (and years! ) to come.

Enjoy the baby smells from the top of her head to the tip of her cute little baby toes. (those won't smell as good in a few years. LOL!)

Now pardon me while I go kiss my daughter (she's 7 already) then go get out the baby pics and remember when she was as small as your precious bundle.

Congrats again and feel better!!
