    Apologies for My Ongoing Absence

My father's been in the hospital for well over a week now so my time online has been fragmented and not very productive. He is slowly on the mend and we hope to have him healthy and home (in that order) by midweek this week.

More on my personal blog: Geek Habitat No News is… Hmm… Well…

I hope everyone has a happy, healthy and safe Independence Day weekend.

Thank you all. Knew you'd understand but felt remiss in not sharing such a marked absence.

I'm so grateful to share that Dad's home from the hospital as of 5 PM Monday (today) and is resting comfortably at home. He does have another eye surgery tomorrow (Tuesday) but at least he is free from his 12 DAYS in the hospital.

My family always hugs when we part. I highly recommend it...except it really, really sucks when one of us ends up in the hospital. Glad to have my Dad/Daughter Hug Meter restored/replenished.

Just saw this! Glad to hear your dads doing better. We also do the hug thing. My 19 yr old daughter is starting to try and get out of it but I won't let her! We still do family hugs and include the dogs! She may wind up in therapy over this but i get my hugs!!
