Trout stocking in the San Antonio - Boerne area - Wild Texas Forums: Parks, Travel & Recreation

I am eager to know when the schedule for trout stocking in the South & Central Texas area will be released. In particular I would like to know which rivers and days they will be released.

I have recently taken up fly fishing, but have only caught bass and panfish. I would like to catch a trout sometime!!!

Welcome to Wild Texas, Carlos!

I just checked the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) website's fishing section. It includes their annualtrout stocking schedule but currently states the following:

Trout stocking has been completed for the 2003-2004 season.
The 2004-2005 stocking schedule will be posted here in mid-November.

Check out the link above for more information, including a link to last year's trout fishing schedule -- it'll give you an idea of where the State stocks trout.
