Question Trout fishing stamp

Is a trout stamp required for trout fishing in the area rivers each winter?

Re: Trout fishing stamp

Check out the official TPWD fishing licenses information page for the answer to your question, and many more.

I'm not a fisherman (woman), myself, but I suspect that yes, you do need a current stamp to fish the rivers for trout.

Lightbulb Re: Trout fishing stamp

The curent year fishing license fee was increased, and to ease the pain, TPWD did away with the requirement for a seperate trout stamp. You are still required to obtain a saltwater stamp for fishing the gulf.

Re: Trout fishing stamp

No stamp is need in Texas period when fishing for Trout. The $5 increase on the Fishing. lic helps cover the cost for the kid fish trout stocking at the 80 city ponds around the state.

note the daily bag on trout is still 5.
