State park pass question

hey, y'all. i know i've asked about this before, but am still not 100% clear. i know that the spp allows you free fishing in parks, but is that for the pass holder only or for everyone with the pass holder also. Also, what can y'all tell me about goose lake sp? is it a good fishing spot? thanks

Re: State park pass question

You don't need to have the pass to take part in the "free" fishing. Any one in the park, either by pass or paying the "Day Use" fee is allowed to fish in the park without a license. This has been in effect for a number of years and is being renewed on a "year to year" basis. I have been told by TPWD that there is a pretty good chance that this become permanent at some point. Here is a link to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department that should help:

Happy Camping!
