State family fishing event

October 6, 2007 — Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center — Big Fish Bluegill Tournament — Family-oriented fishing tournament on Lake Athens. Trophies and prizes awarded to top five teams. Door prizes awarded. Angler teams consist of one child under 17 years and one adult. Teams compete for the largest stringer of sunfish. Each team allowed to weigh in their four largest sunfish. Sign up in advance or morning of tournament. 7 a.m.-2 p.m. with final weigh-in at the Anglers Pavilion at 2:30 p.m.; fee $15 per team, which includes admission to TFFC. (903) 676-BASS
