No fishing licenses req'd @ Texas State Parks FY 2004

Well... I finally went fly fishing this week (and it was all I had hoped for and more). When I tried to purchase a fishing license at the park HQ of one of the state parks, I was told that for this year only, fishing licenses are not required at state parks. It is a program that the state parks here in Texas are trying out in order to get families with children outside to expose the kids to the great outdoors. Just thought that might be useful information for somebody. I was happy about it anyway.

go fishing in a state park... its free! (well.. you still have to get into the park... but thats why you buy a park pass ).
