Since I do not hunt public land, I can't tell ya.. I don't know!
I have found some information about public hunting on the TPWD web page and I would suppose that they have the dates listed. If that doesn't work, then I'd suggest a phone call.
For the 2005-2006 season in East Texas national forests (ie..Sam Houston) it was Sept. 16, 2005 through Feb. 1, 2006. Not sure about the 2006 - 2007 season, but it's roughly the same. You got bow season early, then regular rifle season, then black powder runs a few weeks longer to end of Jan.
