Fishing at Calaveras Lake

Hey gang, we have a new user that I could use your assistance in helping out. I'm not a fishing enthusiast, so when Ken emailed me with the following question I suggested he post here in the forums to receive input, particularly since his inquiry is time sensitive (his trip is coming up this weekend!) If you have any information to provide Ken, please share it.

We're having some difficulties with Ken's login in the forums, so that's why I'm posting on his behalf. I'll be forwarding any and all replies to him via email.

My Father and I wish to visit Calaveras Lake this weekend. I was wondering since we have not been to your park in some time, if you could offer some hints or tips on where we might have an opportunity to increase our odds of catching a fish or two? Yes I am quite aware that you cannot predict their hang-out for the weekend, but I was hoping someone might have shared a luck story. We fish at Braunig lake all the time and have an annual pass. However my Father is the kind of man that when he goes fishing he takes more pleasure in watching other people do the catching. The problem is I discovered is that he no longer has confidence in remembering where he use to fish at Calaveras. Any help you can offer would be a gem, and I thank you for taking the time to read my e-mail.

FYI: I (Shannon) recommend using the following email address if you wish to email Kenneth directly. The reason I'm posting this entry for him is because my emails to his listed address above result in bounced emails due to some server configuration issue.
