Smile Re: calavares lake fishing wierd

Calaveras is kind of a weird lake. The fish in this lake seem to move around alot, I think this comes from it being a warm water (power plant) lake. I'm not that familiar with bank fishing at Calaveras but fishing from a boat, the fishing seem to be hit and miss. Most all the people that I know that fish Calaveras successfully have about a half dozen holes they fish and one or two of them usually pay off with a limit of catfish. As far as fishing next to someone and one guy catches fish and one doesn't, well that happens all the time, even in the boat. I had four guys fishing with me a while back and they all caught fish, but one of the men flat out smoked the rest on putting fish in the boat. I personally believe that fishing is about 25% skill and about 75% luck.
