Hello All,
My name is Ray and I am new here. So far from what I have seen this is pretty cool site with some great information.
I am writing to see if anyone has been to the Alabama Creek WMA around Apple Springs TX
GOOGLE MAP http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...wloc=addr&om=1
I see that they have primative camping as well as hunting and fishing all year round.
Have any of you been there or been to the Crocket National Forest area? If so what did you think and if you hunted of fished how successful were you.
Thanks and I look forward to reading more here.
Ray

I do know scouts did backbacking through the Davey Crockett national forest along the 4 C hiking trail,
and there were designated hunting camps. Parts of the park were closed so check first

Most of the scouts start near Ratcliff Lake seems like the stop was Walnut Creek campsite that had pads and a pit toilet, try the hiking threds on this forum, some of the members know that area well.
I don't hunt but do hike (much shorter hikes now)
