Activity

Hey gang, I just copied a thread from the general Wild Texas forums to here. It's a member new to Corpus Christi looking for camping opportunities and concerned with the lack of activity here in the Wild Texans Camping Club.

Just an FYI in case anyone's in the Gulf Coast region that can assist.

Re: Activity

Thanks anyway Shannon.

Maybe there will be more activity when the weather gets warmer.

Re: Activity

Hope so, 'cuz that's about the earliest I'll be able to entertain camping again (actually, more like Summer '07). I have enough trouble sleeping in my bed with a bunch of pillows, these days -- halfway through (20 weeks) my pregnancy, as of yesterday!

Smile Re: Activity

Hi Shannon,
I may have found what we've been looking for. Looks like you've done alot to help the cause. I've got a few friends that have been trying to put some type of club together to find more people with similar interests. I'm still trying to understand how to use the site and find things but no one has ever accused me of being smart. I'm sure the warmer it gets the more the camping activity will increase. We're in Houston and have plans to camp in Fentress at least twice in July, if I have my facts straight? My wife and I along with an eight year old granddaughter are the primary campers from my clan and we use a tent. The last one we owned had AC but this one is brand new and I haven't had a chance to upgrade it yet. lol Thanks for the site and hopefully we'll meet up somewhere, congrats on the baby, beautiful!
Just one more question, how does one join?
Again, Thanks!
Ellis

Re: Activity

I am looking for family to camp with. It's me, wife, and three kids. We usually pull a trailer with atv's behind our fifth wheel! We have been looking for things to do. I am near Corpus as well.

Re: Activity

Hi Ledfoot,
We'll keep you in mind for our next outing. We just spent the weekend (6/22 to 6/24) at Lake Somerville Overlook Park with friends who have a 32' Holiday Rambler. We pitched our tent on the same site with them and had a great weekend. NO RAIN! We camp every chance we get and usually have my eight year old grandaughter with us. Where do you guys camp most? We stay close to Houston on weekends but we are scheduled to visit Liesure RV Resort in Fentress on Labor Day weekend. I've never been to Liesure before so I don't know anything other than it's suppose to be a real nice campground. Hope to run into you guys somewhere down the road!
