Just thought it would be a good idea to determine where everyone lives so we could use this information when trying to plan outings for the group in the future.

I used the TPWD Regions as a guide. If you live on the edge of a region and prefer the "one next door", select that one.

This is terrific, but just a reminder that everyone can edit their profiles to include their location (either city, state or region of Texas -- whatever you prefer).

That's just another way to get the data.

I also need to enable a feature that lets folks upload a slightly larger photo of themself that appears when their profile is viewed -- to help put "faces to names".

I haven't worked any more on this stuff but will see about getting you guys/gals your own subdomain here so it appears as more of a standalone site so you can directl friends, family and other interested parties to the camping club without 'em getting lost in all the rest of the WildTexas.com content.

Slowpokes wife here.

I was wondering the same thing. I know you, Shannon , have been very very generous in setting us up on the site with a board and calender etc. But I wondered if we should be more of a "sister" with WildTexas. I will be more than happy to help by making a website and logo etc. Whatever we need to do to help you out. I think the club is a great idea and would love it to have families to get together with and camp. Even though we are true rednecks now with an A/C in our tent. LOL! But dang it was much much nicer to not sleep in a cool tent instead of a sweat bucket. So much for "roughing" it huh!

Don't feel obligated in the least to use WildTexas.com as your base of operations. I just wanted to show folks how easily we could host various functionality that the club might need or want. You could still point to the discussion forum, calendar or photo gallery here on WildTexas.com if you wanted to set up your own site for the club, or use your own skills and functionality entirely -- no hurt feelings either way. I just wanted to be sure everyone knew those were options.
