The weather might be a big factor. We are tent campers. If it is tooo cold, it isn't much fun. Although, staying in a tent with and electric blanket and sleeping in does sound great to me, my 6 year old son won't stay down for long. "Hey mom, the sun is out, it's daytime, get up". At least a rooster can get locked in the barn!

That would be great if we got together sometime, hopefully we could get lots of other familes to meet up at the same time as well.
We've never been to South Llano River SP yet, so I'll make a deal with you. If you make a post about how the park/trip was when you get back, then we'll do the same when we get back from Lake Texana SP, and we'll even throw in some pics.
We went straight from being tent campers to buying a Class A motorhome (kind of skipped all the "moving up / upgrading" steps inbetween and went right to the motorhome. lol ) so I completely understand where you are coming from about the weather. I even posted this reply to another member here in reference to the non activity here on this website possibly having to do with the weather :

We go camping once a month regardless of temps, but we also cheat :P ......errr, I mean but we have a Class A with all the heating comforts of home.
I realize that not everybody has that and camping in 50* and lower temps for the whole weekend may not be everyone's idea of fun, especially if they have young children.
Hopefully there will be much more activity when the temps start to warm up again.

When my daughter was just a few months old this was our camping setup :
Large 10 person dome tent with 4 seperate rooms
(2 person rooms on both sides and in the back of tent & the center of tent was a 4 person room)
In the large middle room was the "living room", this is where we had the baby's swing chair (the kind where you crank the handle and it swings) , the Coleman "Black Cat" propane catylitic heater if winter time, fans if summer time, chairs, toys, ect.
One side room was the sleeping area for my son and I
One side room was for "storage" of cooler, baby items, extra "stuff"
Back room was where wife and baby slept
Setup was a huge PITA, but it sure was nice to be able to put the baby in the swinger /rocker chair thingy when she was cranky, then watch her fall asleep just like at home. lol
