2007 Check in
The activity level here has gotten very quiet and most post were in 2006. How about a check in, to see who is still checking in here and if you are still interested getting together for an informal club?

I'm here, though Justin and I haven't spent much time out and about in the past year. We DID manage to pack ourselves and then-6-month-old Sara for a couple nights at Buescher State Park in mid-September. We've been meaning to get another trip on the calendar for before the end of the year, but where did October go? Suddenly, we're looking at trying to squeeze it in among Thanksgiving, Christmas and multiple family birthdays, plus our wedding anniversary. Oops... things don't happen in our clan if they don't get put on a calendar. |

We are here. I am not an organizer and the state of Texas is way to big to suggest something without a lot of notice.
I may suggest where we are going in november just to see what happens with short notices but. NEED an organizer

Still lurking around, checking out who's doing what and where. Havn't had much time lately to surf. We have moved and now remodeling the new place. I'm getting cabin fever !!!

When in spring would it be comfortable to camp? I think April gets warm enough?? Should we plan a April camp out?

Depends on what part of the state you choose but usually April is mild (but sometimes wet  .
As a Troop planner we watch for holidays like Easter, 3/23/08, and Passover 4/20/08. Otherwise pick a park and start the conversations |

i'm here and would be interested. April seems a little late.
i'm sure a lot will be busy with kids spring break & camp spots busy in March.
how about Feb. 29th...lets Leap into it.

I'd love to participate in this also. Me and my 8 YO son are avid campers..tents, that is.  Feb is a bit chilly for us, though....maybe March/April?

Man...this site is really quiet. We are avid campers and have an RV. Found a really nice place out by Tyler called Whispering Pines. Love the place !!!
Does anyone ever really read these blogs? We would love to find some camping buddies |
