Texas "Mule Riders" Online :)

Copied from another thread:

While I was hiking at Hill Country State Natural Area (Bandera, TX) in May, I ran into a group of about 25 folks on horseback (they called 'em "mules" ) and had an awesome time taking photos of them and their horses for a bit.

I was awful jealous when they all rode off and I still had a 2+ mile hike back to the trailhead! I remember one of them asking me when they rode up, "What happened, did your horse break down!?"

Here are some photos I just posted today from that experience. It definitely made me want to try out horseback riding sometime!

Thumbs up Re: Texas "Mule Riders" Online :)

Those are some beautiful mules! Ran across this forum while "googling", was hoping it was a mule lovers forum...but nice just the same!

Happy owner of 2 mules and 1 horse :-)

Re: Texas "Mule Riders" Online :)

Definately try mule riding. They have a narrower back and smoother gait then most horses. A pleasure to ride in mountains or hilly areas.
