Texas' Hike and Bike Month occurs every May and celebrates the freedom and opportunities we all have to hike and bike.

S.A.'s celebrating the month with a week chock-full of events.
25th Annual Wildflower Bicycle Tours on May 3, 2003 --
known as the "Wildflower 100" bicycle race and drawing riders from all over south Texas. Starts at Rolling Oaks Mall in San Antonio. Tour routes: 13, 25, 35, 50, and 70 miles.

VIA has been working to improve its bicycle-related amenities --
All of VIA’s buses (except downtown streetcars) are now equipped with bicycle racks, and each rack can hold two bicycles.
