Getting Fit 2009

Don't worry, I still have camping, hiking and (geez, will I ever) backpacking in my blood, but cycling is my current means of getting the most "bang" (exercise, fitness) for my "buck" (hours that I can get family to care for kidlet while I'm exercising).

To keep myself honest, I've documented my goal for 2009 --
Geek Habitat » Getting Fit 2009

Today was my second training ride with Justin and my brother-in-law, David. Here's today's blog entry --
Geek Habitat » Building a Fitter Geek, 2009 Edition (#2)

For those who aren't aware, Justin's been commuting to work about 3 days a week and he's logged an impressive number of miles on the bike. He's the primary source of my inspiration, and I'm (as ever, always) grateful to call him my friend and husband. Check out his blog if you have time --

Taking up new hobbies is a good thing, you are expanding your horizons. Life is a journey and you've to try as much as you can.

That's great about taking up riding. I got a bike last year but must confess I primarily use it during camping trips. Keep it up.

Re: Getting Fit 2009

Go Shannon !!! Drinking lots of water on your ride is better than drinking lots of beer

Now keep on rolling and I agree on the pedals
