Bolivar Flats Conservation Fund

Habitat loss is the greatest threat to the survival of bird and wildlife populations. Here's one way Texans can help that will hit a little closer to home --

The Houston Audubon Society is working to purchase an additional (650-acre) parcel of land within Bolivar Flats on the Texas Gulf Coast.

Bolivar Flats is a premier birdwatching site, designated an Important Bird Area of global significance. More than 15% of all birds migrating across the Central Texas Flyway each year stop over, feed and rest at Bolivar Flats.

Learn how you can help Houston Audubon acquire the additional acreage to protect critical habitat surrounding Bolivar Flats.

It's a great cause, and it's located right here in the great state of Texas!
