Alternative fuel vehicle in limited production run (CA only)
Honda is releasing an alternative fuel vehicle in a limited production run (California only). It runs on Hydrogen fuel cells. The ONLY "pollution"/byproduct of the vehicle's operation -- clean water vapor.
Honda FCX - Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle - Official Web Site
This is a cleaner, more "environmentally friendly" vehicle in terms of pollution but it is NOT a high mileage vehicle -- it gets about 270 miles per refueling, so we're not talking a 100mpg equivalent vehicle. You have to have Hydrogen refueling stations nearby which is why the vehicle's only being rolled out in select areas of CA initially.
The vehicle is available in select areas of California for a 3-year lease of $600 per month, which INCLUDES all maintenance and insurance costs, by the way.

Still, if I won the lottery (that is, if I ever played it), I would absolutely want a Tesla Roadster, instead. Electric vehicle, hot sportscar, 0 to 60 in 4 seconds. Eat your heart out, OPEC. (And yes, I'm aware our electrical grid is primarily fueled by fossil fuels. There are other options, however, and electrical grid power is less polluting and less costly than gasoline.
