Whitewater Sports, Inc. in Sattler

Houstonff1980 suggested a place for good river camping, Whitewater Sports, Inc. I clicked on the link White Water Sports , and the place looks pretty neat. I hate to forego my SP-annual-pass-so-get-in-free mentality, but this place looks pretty neat if you have kids, especially bc of the convenience of rafting services, etc... I wonder about the "no sites" set-up, however--could result in some real close neighbors...

Has anyone else been there with good/bad experiences?

Re: Whitewater Sports, Inc. in Sattler

I have tent camped on the Guadalupe ( it wasn't at Whitewater) and it wasn't a good experience. We were stacked in like cord wood with No room to breath. I like a little more space between tents than they were giving. Call the campground and ask about the campsite sizes. See how close your new neighbor will be. Ask about lights out cerfew and if it is enforced. The night I stayed on the river, I had a group partying upriver til 3 or 4 in the morning. Talking around the campfire is ok, shouting and cussing, with loud music playing is another thing.
Do some research and hopefully you can find the right spot.
Good luck and happy camping.

Lazy L&L

Lazy L&L is a little more spacious and is more family oriented. Land is at a premium on the Guadalupe as the river keeps carving away the bank.
