Renting cushy sleeping pads?

Does anyone know of anyplace (in Austin) that rents cushy sleeping pads for camping? REI rents Thermarest mid-grade self-inflatables... those are fine for roughing-it backpacking but I'm looking for something more comfortable for aging bones car/tent camping. Either thick pads, or mattress-style self-inflatables. If not, we'll just make due with the Thermarests and a bunch of blankets on top...

Re: Renting cushy sleeping pads?

my family used these inflatable ones that we got at meijer or somewhere's camping section. they were basically the floating matresses you use in the pool, but with a little bit thicker plastic. they're comfortable. the only drawback is you get lightheaded blowing them up.

Ask REI to rent you a Big Agnes self-inflating pad....2 1/2 inches of thick sleeping comfort.

Re: Renting cushy sleeping pads?

We just got and used the 18 inch inflatable queen air mattress. It was like our bed, almost. We really liked it. Worth the money and not much money at that. It as a Coleman and we got it at Wally World, inflated in about 3 1/2 minutes. cool huh?
