Yeah, rain rain GO AWAY! Lake Travis is up another 12 feet in the last two days despite the gates being open.

I wonder what Pedernales Falls looks like!

Everyone else okay? Marble Falls sure got hit bad and even more is headed our way. Hope it doesn't damage anyone's homes, or our parks.

Re: Rainout at Garner

My aunt & her 2 sons/their families all live in Marble Falls. Thankfully they are enough above the lake they didn't get any flooding/suffer any damage. I also heard that MF has been w/out water for the last several days also but they have wells so they've been OK.

We've been in Florida camping this week & my brother kept me apraised of the situation in the Hill Country. Have a trip to Garner planned at the end of this month -- glad I didn't switch Garner-Florida around or I would've been bummin' for sure!

Hope all those folks & our parks are OK.....

Re: Rainout at Garner

Just got back from Marble Falls, man they did get hammered, alot off the roads by the river are gone.Had to unload tractor 4 miles from friends to get there, truck could'nt make the road. When we got to what was left of his dream place nothing but a huge mess. It was as bad as anything I saw in Katrina or Rita.He was lucky not to have been killed by that much water ,I saw water marks and stuff still in what trees lift there in the 10 to 12 foot area.We where able to get their house cleaned out and hooked up to generator then we ran chainsaws until dark.Next day we hauled off and cleaned up what we could .We then started looking for anything left from the trailers,we found nothing. The water is still to high to check and too full of wood and stuff to look good.Drove tractor back to truck got the two poly tanks out and got them hooked up for their water and sewage.I was proud of they way everyone was pulling together, and how much helping hands was already there working. Some things are forever changed in theirs lives and I pray these folks have more luck with their insurace claims then the folks that went thru the hurricanes did.I have to come home to work three midnight shifts reload and head back.See I got to go camping anyway.
Take care for now,and pray for a little sun.

Re: Rainout at Garner

We're going on July 29 & leaving Aug. 2. So only 4 days for us too. But we're stopping in Marble Falls before that & staying overnight with my cousin so we can see relatives. That is our last trip before Labor Day at Inks.
