Mother Neff. Our states oldest, and first State Park is now for day use only.
Camping here as a boy,I can remember all the fun times we had. Why can't The Great State Of Texas put forth the State Funds to reopen this Park for camping again? Seems like sence it is the oldest, and first. It would be first on the list for an upgrade.
I've heard that the State is going to rebuild the camping area up out of flood
plain.YEARS AGO! WE need to bring back camping to Mother Neff State Park! The park with more history than any other. Is this the sign of our time? Will we be able to hike the Hiking Trail, and NOT have to return home? If any one has heard
any thing about Mother Neff State Park. Please let me know,

Says on the TPWD website:
"01/09/09 - Due to flood damage, Mother Neff State Park currently has camping available on a limited basis. Only water and portable toilets are available. At this time there is no camp electricity, showers, or full service restrooms. Call the park for reservations and more information."
I guess limited camping is better than no camping.....
