Hill Country SNA

Hi, Gang!! I hope I can pick your brain a little bit for some advice. I'm getting ready to make reservations for Hill Country SNA. I'm gonna make them sometime within the next two weeks pending ya'll recommendations. Since I camp alone and I much prefer solitude (I haven't made camping friends yet), I am making plans to go in the middle of the week in May. I'm gonna drive up to the tent site in my lil car. I've heard many on WildTexas speak often and highly of the West Verde Creek area (site 128 - 130 on the map). However, it looks like Comanche Bluff (121 - 122) is closer to the car, the creek and has a scenic overlook. What do you think? What are the pros and cons of each? Recommendations? And thank you so much!

Re: Hill Country SNA

We were mountain/trail bike riding on last trip, and I remember that on next trip to park dw wanted to stay in the West Verde camp area because sites and that area in general were more better maintained .The Wilderness Camp Area was pretty secluded and pit toilets were a long way away. All I remember about the Comanche Bluff area was it had a lot better wind flow in it.I also liked the Butterfly Springs area, but it was a long ride in.Hope you have a blast.
