Help?

Howdy, Gang! I'm hoping anyone can give me a little help. I'm taking my three kids tent camping in March for their first time. It'll be my first time, also. Therefore, I would like to try to make this trip as easy and problem-free as possible. Does anyone have any ideas for quick and easy meals? When I say "quick and easy", I'm thinking along the lines of cold cereal, sandwiches, etc. Any ideas???

David

Re: Help?

David, first check out the camping receipes in a post below.

Kids love a fire, if its not raining hotdogs on a long stick over the fire (If kids old enough to handle that) IF it must be quick and easy.

Remember they can get cereal everyday.
Will you have a stove? Pancakes (even the ones you mix with water in the bottle) are easy, cold sandwiches or grill cheese work at lunch, can always do hamburgers on the stove.

Make meals part of the fun, consider they put to gether their own foil pack.
What better place for them to learn meal preparation than outside where they can spill and you can smile

Don't forgot the Reeces smores to wind up the night (that fire thing)

Re: Help?

Try to precook some of your meals to help save some time, and the kids will be so excited they will be fine with what ever you fix.Don't forget the peanut butter just in case. srds
