Hi all, can anyone provide me with any information on the cabins that you can reserve through the Garner State Park site? I see that you can rent cabins through outside sources but we wanted to rent tubes/kayaks from the park so figured it would be easier to just get a cabin with them so we were nearby. I haven't been able to find any photos of them online. Can anyone tell me their conditions? Thanks so much!

I've never been inside any of the cabins, but from the exterior they look simple but fine. Note there is no air conditioning in them, however.

Inside the park at the river of old Garner there is a concession stand. There are paddle boats there to be rented. There is also a park store in old Garner if I remember right, that is where you rent the tubes. Outside of the park off the highway there are stores to rent tubes also. You shouldnt have a prob. I recomend that you reserve the cabin well in advance. Texas State parks has a good web site. They provide a link to resere america. You can find out fees and see if they are available to rent. The cabins as stated before dont have a/c. They have a kitchen, bathroom and basics. Highly recomend reserving well in advance.
