Almost the entire state has a fire ban, this site link is updated by that group, but unless it rains figure limited fires

Anyone know of any fire restrictions for Isle Dubois during spring break?
Trying to find out is rather difficult when you call and have to call this person to ask his cousin and then do a dance during the full moon
Thanks

Despite being under county burn bans, all of the state parks I have been to during the past six to nine months have allowed fires in fire rings, as long as an adult is in attendance. This was the case even at Inks Lake and Pedernales Falls, which really surprised me because the central Texas area is the driest it has been in decades.

If people were more responsible and have a shovel and a 5 gallon bucket filled with water nearby I think fire issues would be better.
just got back from garner sp today and there is a fireban in effect for that county. they had signs posted in the check in area that stated attended fires for cooking only are allowed in bbq pits or fire rings. we had an attended fire in the fire ring each night without any issues.
I have 3 days of reservations at McKinney Falls for the 26th. I am hoping against hope that they will allow campfires inside the fire rings.
Did Austin get any rain the last few days?
Yes, we've had a fair amount of rain in the Austin area over the past few days. I'd be surprised if they weren't allowing fires in the fire rings at McKinney Falls.
Have a great trip!

Yippee! For us folks that are city bound, a campfire is a very good thing. In my minds eye I've been contemplating a fire-less camp and it is not good. However, I am still game to camp.

Yay Denton and Collin county are off fire restrictions
Yeah, a group of us are headed to Colorado Bend State Park next month on Easter weekend so we're crossing our fingers for a little more rain between now and then. I was at Cleburne State Park for a few days last month and it just isn't the same without a campfire. But it was VERY dry all around that area so it certainly is understandable.
BTW--thanks to Turn Key for the recommendation of Site #22 in the Shady Springs Area. Great spot, especially when you're the only one in that part of the Park.
I just called McKinney Falls SP and the burn ban is lifted there! Hot puppies - a campfire at night!![]()

We just got back from Ray Roberts and someone actually left an 8 foot log smouldering on a fire ring. Yay this is how we burn down the forest!!
