Awesome! Let us know how it goes! We are finally taking Sara TENT camping soon (her first camping trip, at 6 mos. old, was a two night overnighter at Buescher SP near Bastrop, TX.)

    Re: Finally!!!

You live in the Hill country and you're going camping in Louisiana??!! Oh, well... Where at? And why did you choose that place over somewhere in Texas for your first camping trip? I'm just curious...I live about 20 miles from Louisiana and I've always gone to the Hill Country for my camping trips!! Go figure...

LOL!! I never caught this! No problem asking, tho.. I'm glad you did. I was born and raised in St. Martinville, Louisiana, about 20 miles south of Lafayette (home of the true Cajuns). My three kids still live there. From what they tell me, they would much rather live in San Antonio with me, but their mother is very difficult to deal with. So, I go down to visit them on weeknds about every two months. In March, I have a week off for spring break (I am attending Texas State University - San Marcos full time), so I thought I'd go down and spend the week with them and go camping at a nearby Louisiana State Park on the weekend. They are excited!

So, we are gonna go to a Lake Fausse Pointe State Park. I've heard that its a nice place, but we'll see. Its my first time tent camping and my first time camping with my kids.

I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed that. Oh well. Guess every one needs a change now and then.

Never mind, I see it now: Tyler Jr. College. Interesting, tho... I'm majoring in Health Education with a minor in Exercise and Sport Science. Not too far off from what you do!
