How far north do you want to go?
Hello all,
Looking for hike/walk in primitive camping that allows fire and pets. Any suggestions in the central, east texas areas? We are looking for secluded area to bring in the New Year under the Stars!

We decided to go to Bastrop. We can still cook on coals, but no open wood flames.
Based on the burn ban area I would assume the area is still real dry? It was in October
