Camping for New Years

Hello all,

Looking for hike/walk in primitive camping that allows fire and pets. Any suggestions in the central, east texas areas? We are looking for secluded area to bring in the New Year under the Stars!

Might as well forget central texas because of all the burn bans see link.

Fairfield SP might be outside the area also check into the SP's and other parks near Huntsville.

How far north do you want to go?

We decided to go to Bastrop. We can still cook on coals, but no open wood flames.
