Anyone else out there? Would love to find ( or start) a group from our area that is intrested in weekend trips, staying kinda close to home.

Hello, I wouldn't mind finding some folks to camp with. I am from Corpus Christi, but don't mind to travel some. Do you tent camp or RV? You can reach me at jamsiewin at yahoo.com. I have no objection to any questions regarding me or in uploading a picture.

Justin and I (the proprietors here at WildTexas.com) live in San Antonio, but we haven't been camping a lot since the birth of our daughter--several trips here and there, but nothing major until she's a bit older (and until the weather's back to sane temperatures, though tonight is marvelously cool.)

Hi! Nice to meet you. Where do you go for your here and there trips? Tent or tt?
I notice there have been allot of views since I posted. I want to make clear that I am not trying to start "club" with dues or schedules. We would just like to make some new friends that have some of the same interest and that don't live to far. Everyone would be responsible for their own reservations and expenses and everyone would be welcome. We would just have fun.
It's great that you are taking your daughter out young. It will be fantastic weather before you know it and she will grow up to be as camper.
If anyone can suggest another place to post, please let me know.

Welcome to KUNGFU UNIVERSITY - Chinese Kung Fu Teaching,Taichi quan,Shaolin quan! Here you will find what is Kungfu, how can learn Kungfu well, how to be a man just like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li!It's said that Gongfu. Hard work over time to accomplish skill. A painter can have gongfu. Or the butcher who cuts meat every day with such skill...his knife never touches bone. Learn the form, but seek the formless. Hear the soundless. Learn it all, then forget it all. Learn The Way, then find your own way. The musician can have gongfu. Or the poet who paints pictures with words and makes emperors weep. This, too, is gongfu. But do not name it, my friend, for it is like water. Nothing is softer than water...yet it can overcome rock. It does not fight. It flows around the opponent. Formless, nameles...the true master dwells within. Only you can free him. Come on, body! Many wellknown Kungfu masters will teach you form-form. Shaolin, Wudang, Taichi and many other linds of Kungfu. Anyone you like, just have a taste! Once chose, you will be a different person as before. Whoever you are, a painter, a butcher, a musician... To be YOU! Only $360 you can be YOU! Welcome to KUNGFU UNIVERSITY - Chinese Kung Fu Teaching,Taichi quan,Shaolin quan!

Thanks for the welcome!
We love medina and it's so close to where we live.
I am really surprised that I haven't received any contact from local campers ( San Antonio area). I know they are out there, just not sure how to reach them.

Howdy All !!! I live in Ingram Texas, I am an experienced backpacker and I am always up for a trip . Lost Maples , Devils River , Enchanted Rock , Colorado Bend , are all located in reasonable proximity to me. I am hoping to return to the Gila Wilderness in October. IT HAS BEEN TOO HOT TO HIKE THIS SUMMER !

Howdy from Austin! Not quite SA but not too far away either.
I agreem it's been way too hot for much but the last week has been beautiful!! We've already started making as many reservations as possible before the end of the year (and we start complainng of the cold instead of heat. LOL!).
We're headed to Lockhart State Park next weekend (9/26-9/28), I can't wait!
If anyone else is heading out there let me know.
We always like to meet new people too so we'll be watching!
Have a great one!
