Ants

Is there any kind of repellents to keeping ants away from the tent?

I remember in college our RA's made us put powder Tide along our doorways to keep ants & crickets out of our rooms. I really don't want to put chemicals on the ground but wondered if there is something organic?

Re: Ants

The Tide works really good ,we also used it at dormroom,my uncle swears that pepper will keep the ants out.I have never tried it.We always use Borac acid,or Deep Woods Off.Sweep area down thin sprinkle of boric, then ground tarp and tent. Spray Off around front door area.
