For all you Texas Campers and those

who come to Texas to camp..... I'm so excited....now you have to understand that since I've become a senion citizen, it doesn't take much to excite me, but.....this is good, really good. Or at least we think so.

We've been camping at Tyler State Park since 1994 and have watched the campsites get worse and worse....well.....we camped there this week end and guess what?! They are upgrading the sites and are adding "full sewer" hookups as well..... The sites are being made large for the "BIG BOY" with room for their slides, etc.

They told us that the new sites should be ready by September 1st...of course I'll believe that when I see it, but still.....new bigger, better sites and with the sewer hook ups....

Just thought someone here would like to know!

Blessings,
Marti

Re: For all you Texas Campers and those

Thanks for the info, Marti! I see a trip to Tyler before the end of the year and a full-blown park review pending!

Happy Camping!

Re: For all you Texas Campers and those

That's good news. When we were there last November, I thought the limbs seemed a bit low in spots for the big rigs. Even had me giving them a second glance when I towed through the same areas.

We really enjoyed our site (lakeview-24, IIRC), except for the incline near the fire pit. Made sitting around the campfire a little uncomfortable.

My only other complaint would be to keep the restroom near the playground unlocked. But I digress.
