Celebrate with a day full of activities. Go on a guided bird hike on our trails and see what birds we can observe or hear. Then, learn about the trials birds go through during migration. Come along on a leisurely hike through the Lost Pines! On this 1-1/2-hour hike you will learn about the history, flora and fauna of the park, the significance of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and the endangered Houston toad. Meet at the playground kiosk. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes.

From scales to feathers, amphibians to zebras (zebra long wing butterflies that is) kids ages 5-14 will have a chance to get up close and personal with some of the amazing wildlife that lives at the park.
