Outdoor Fools Day

Learn outdoor skills and get hands-on experience in a variety of areas-camping, fishing, birding, hunting and boating. Representatives of various divisions of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, outdoor businesses and conservation organizations will be on hand to help you get ready to see it's true: Life's Better Outside. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Free with admission to Center. Cedar Hill Expo (7th Annual)

Enjoy a fun filled day in which you can participate in many of the programs we offer. Some of the events include reptile programs, bass casting for kids, a wildflower walk, archery and kayaking. Game Wardens will also be available throughout the day to answer questions regarding TPWD regulations. The Cedar Hill Cartwrights Vintage Baseball Club will be holding a vintage baseball tournament and club sign-up. Every Saturday. Looking for something fun and exciting to do with your young ones? Join us as we explore the wonderful world of wildlife. From scales to feathers, amphibians to zebras (zebra long wing butterflies that is) kids ages 5-14 will have a chance to get up close and personal with some of the amazing wildlife that lives at the park. Topics vary each week. 11 a.m.-noon; fees $1 Texas State Parks Pass members, $4 non-members, $3 senior citizens and $1 children 12 and under (956) 565-3919.
