Join fly-fishing experts from around Texas and beyond to learn everything from the basics of fly-tying and casting to how to fish all kinds of waters from mountain streams to coastal bays. Come prepared to wrap your hands around a fly rod, tie a woolly booger, paddle a kayak and learn about the latest gear and techniques. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free with admission to the center. Every Saturday. Looking for something fun and exciting to do with your young ones? Join us as we explore the wonderful world of wildlife. From scales to feathers, amphibians to zebras (zebra long wing butterflies that is) kids ages 5-14 will have a chance to get up close and personal with some of the amazing wildlife that lives at the park. Topics vary each week. 11 a.m.-noon; fees $1 Texas State Parks Pass members, $4 non-members, $3 senior citizens and $1 children 12 and under (956) 565-3919.
