Centennial Celebration Series: Easter at the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm
— This year's events are dedicated to Lyndon B. Johnson helping to "Celebrating the Life of a Man & the Land that He Loved" in the 100th year of his birth. Celebrate Easter like a traditional 1915 German farm family would have. Park interpreters will be making natural dyed Easter eggs, lamb cake and grass Easter nests, as the early settlers would have made them. While visiting, you will also have an opportunity to participate in some traditional activities common to that time period such as friendship card giving. Accessible for the mobility impaired. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (830) 644-2252.

Easter Egg Hunt (Annual)

We will start with an Easter egg hunt for different age groups. Afterwards, enjoy sack races, egg and spoon races, horseshoe and volleyball tournaments and much more. Accessible for the mobility and visually impaired. 10 a.m.-noon (361) 782-5718.

Where? Weslaco, Texas - Estero Llano Grande State Park
Every Saturday. Looking for something fun and exciting to do with your young ones? Join us as we explore the wonderful world of wildlife. From scales to feathers, amphibians to zebras (zebra long wing butterflies that is) kids ages 5-14 will have a chance to get up close and personal with some of the amazing wildlife that lives at the park. Topics vary each week. 11 a.m.-noon; fees $1 Texas State Parks Pass members, $4 non-members, $3 senior citizens and $1 children 12 and under (956) 565-3919.
