porcupines

I knew that porcupines occured in Texas, but I thought they were pretty rare here. Apparently the Hill Country is crawling with them! On a trip to Sonora and back yesterday I saw about 20 porcupine roadkills. I counted 10 on eastbount I-10 between Sonora and Junction.

Re: porcupines

I also was shocked to see a porcupine crawling on top of a fence in my back yard. When I went to get my camera it had crawled up a tree and was chilling in the midnight moon. Really a docile looking critter.
