Help us ID these birds...

These two birds have been spending the night perched above our front porch for the past week. Out of curiousity we've been trying to figure out what they are but with no luck so far (there are so many kinds of birds out there it's overwhelming). I was hoping maybe someone could help us out. Thanks!

Looks like it could be a swallow.....maybe a barn swallow. Looks like it has a forked tail.

I second the "barn swallow" vote. Looks like a dead-ringed for a barn swallow to me!

If not, here are other swallows on enature.com, each with at least one photograph and a description.

They're all efficient bug-eaters and are good to have around!

Re: Help us ID these birds...

Yep, I looked at some pics of the barn swallow and looked at our visitors again tonight and that's what they are. Good thing too, I can drive myself crazy trying to find the answer to a question that's stuck in my head. Thanks ya'll.
