Help with IDing a bird

I saw a bird down by the Trinity River in Fort Worth and I can't figure out what it is. Can anyone help?
(for some reason I can't display images or insert URLs, so i have a link to the image as my homepage in my profile).
Thanks for any help!

Re: Help with IDing a bird

Unverified/new and guest users can't post URLs or images. Sorry -- it's the result of spammers abusing the forums.

About the bird -- I'm half asleep, but it's an immature heron or egret of some kind. Off the top of my head, I can't come up with the name (black-crowned night heron, perhaps? Though the neck and beak look a little off...), but I've seen them before. If it comes to me, I'll post the name and a link to more info (such as on enature.com)
