Have there been recent sightings of big cats(cougar,puma,mountain lion,etc) on Galveston Island?

I would think probably not. Their range is limited because of us humans and sadly the remaining few can be shot anytime/anywhere in Texas. There have been several interesting studies on the big cats in Texas by the TPWD and one university. If you want to claim a sighting please email me with the info or call TPWD at 1-800-792-1112.
