Smile baby mockingbird found in yard

I know you aren't supposed to pick up baby birds, however, I found a baby mockingbrd in my back yard, and I have five dogs. This baby had no chance at all. So, now I need to find out how to care for it until it can fly.

Re: baby mockingbird found in yard

Call a local vet or wildlife rescue & rehabilitation office if you're intent on feeding the baby. But, really, most of the time the adult birds will find the baby even when people think the bird's chances are nil. Nature takes care of its own. Yes, sometimes a baby dies. That is why birds lay more than one egg...
