Cool guadalupe mtns trip

My son and I got back from our trip Thursday night after being in West Texas since Monday. We camped mon. night at Davis Mtns state park and got to Guadalupe mtns tues. We hiked up Guadalupe Peak and the wind was blowing like a hurricane going up,at the top, and coming down. We had to use my cellphone as a flashlight coming down. Does anyone know where the aspens are on Guad. Pk.? I looked everywhere from the trail and was not able to locate them.

I want to say in McKittirck Canyon. I have information on national parks on Discover Texas page on my website.
