And no matter how hard I try, I cannot think of any meaning for "anti-chikite" that could possibly make any sense here, so I guess I can't answer that one.

Glad you did it and survived. One park I have never been to. Have come close a few times but seem to keep heading west to Big Bend area??

As to hiking with people. Remember...If they like it you will never be allowed to go alone again Well, the girlfriend anyway.. Though it is nice to talk with someone other than oneself.
